Vista West Ranch Wedding – Lucy and David
Lucy and David were married at Vista West Ranch in Dripping Springs on the last weekend in January. The ceremony didn’t start until 5p.m, but we got there around noon to get started covering all the set up and preparations. The guys and girls each got their own blog entry with additional photos you can see here (girls) and here (guys).
There was a slight chance rain might get in the way and an emergency tent was ready, but it was never needed. The weather ended up being perfect with a gorgeous sunset for the bride and groom.
Lucy and David were truly a joy to work with; relaxed, easy going and always laughing, made for a fun day of work for us!

Vista West Ranch Wedding – The Girls
Every girl knows that it takes time to get all dolled up! Especially on your wedding day!
When I arrived around lunch time, Lucy and her ladies had already hit the ground running taking care of their hair and make-up! Lucy, with her hair in curlers and her awesome pink robe, was as sweet, cool, calm and collected as the first day Thomas and I met her. Now, I have shot a fair number of weddings and I have to say the spread of food, drinks and amount of space given to the ladies to get ready – has definitely outdone some of the others. These ladies were prepared!
The groom’s sister was sweet enough to style everyone’s hair while one of the other bridesmaids took care of their makeup. Never was there an air of concern for lack of time. Over the course of several hours various people popped in to say hello and visit with Lucy and to admire her wedding gift from her future husband, a sweet scrapbook he put together depicting their relationship – with a few pages left empty waiting to be filled with the next chapters of their lives.

Vista West Ranch Wedding – The Photo Booth
Just a sample of some of the fun photo booth photos taken during Lucy and David’s wedding out at Vista West Ranch in Dripping Springs. We didn’t need to bring a backdrop this time, Vista West Ranch has a great rustic atmosphere with a large room for dinner and dancing, we just set up in one corner of the room and the guests did the rest!

Vista West Ranch Wedding – The Guys
Weddings often focus on the bride – and that’s okay, that’s the way it should be!
But the guys have to get ready too, and sometimes it’s more than just throwing on a jacket, sometimes the groom’s sister gets to be her brother’s personal hairdresser! Then just before the ceremony began, the groomsmen gathered around the groom, each laying a hand on him and prayed: prayed for his family, his bride-to-be, his marriage, and for his future roles as husband and father.

Vista West Ranch Wedding Venue
