Sneak Peak! Wedding at Kindred Oaks, Georgetown

Keyli and Ryan had a beautiful wedding at Kindred Oaks, a great wedding venue in Georgetown.  We were there from noon to midnight – so we didn’t miss a moment!  We’ll have more on their wedding when we post our final images.   In the meantime, we hope you enjoy this quick sneak peek!

First Look Photos at The Vista on Seward Hill

The First Look photo is catching on in Austin and quickly becoming a popular wedding tradition.   The First Look gives the bride and groom a private moment to see each other for the first time in their wedding attire before they are a standing in front of all their guests.

Usually staged in a private setting away from everyone else, it can be a great opportunity for some truly intimate wedding photos.

The Vista on Seward Hill has the perfect location for such a moment. We set Chris, the groom, up in an enclosed garden area with a blindfold provided by his soon to be wife.  Emily came around the corner and kept Chris in suspense for several moments before removing the blindfold and revealing herself!

Bridal Photos on Lake Marble Falls

Now that the wedding has come and gone, we can post Keyli’s bridal photos!  We did their engagement photos out on Lake LBJ and headed back to Marble Falls for Keyli’s bridal pics on Lake Marble Falls.

We used a clubhouse on a golf course as the main backdrop the photos – it had great architecture, light, and a bridge that extended out into the lake.

Accenting Keyli’s beautiful wedding dress, she had a red rose boutique and unique wedding shoes – red to match the flowers.

We had tons of fun shooting the bridal pics and her wedding at Kindred Oaks in Georgetown, we’ll be posting the wedding photos as soon as they’re ready…!

Destination Wedding in Tulum, Mexico

Laura and Michael chose to have a destination wedding in Tulum on the white sands of the Caribbean at the Dreams Resort. Since Tulum is much closer to the equator, most weddings are held in the early to mid morning hours. Even though it was only 10am, the sun was intense and made it for a very short, yet beautiful, ceremony.  To help with the sun, there were plenty of colorful parasols for the wedding.  A couple days later the newlyweds met with Sasha at 7am to do their trash the dress photo shoot along the Caribbean coastline. They had a blast! And as most brides would empathize, when one spends $3,000 on a dress, trashing it is not an option – so, Laura purchased another white, inexpensive dress for their shoot.

Laura and Michael’s airy, colorful, tropical beach wedding along with their trash the dress photo shoot truly made this an event to remember.

Bridal Photos on Lake Travis

Emily’s bridal shoot on Lake Travis was a wonderful experience.  A family friend was gracious enough to lend us her home over looking the lake for a couple hours for the shoot.  We started shooting inside and as the sun set, finished up outside for the final shots.  With plenty of windows, tall glass doors, grand piano, Italian marble gazebo, and an infinity pool, a photographer could not ask for a better location for a shoot!

We shot Emily’s wedding at The Vista on Seward Hill on July 4th – complete with an intimate “First Look” between the bride and groom, a fun photo booth, and dance routine down the aisle.  Stay tuned for updates

Mayfield Park Engagement Session

We had a lot of fun photographing Deziree and Jeff’s engagement photos at Mayfield Park in West Austin.  As usual the peacocks kept us company, sometimes in the background, sometimes running across the frame in the foreground! In addition to engagement and bridal photos, weddings at Mayfield Park are also extremely popular.  Its a great venue with lots of possibilities for photos.
